GIGANTOUR 2008: First New York City Show Sold Out

According to a posting on MEGADETH's official web site, the first of two Gigantour 2008 shows (April 22) at the Hammerstein Ballroom (capacity around 3,500) in New York City is officially sold out. Tickets are still available for the second concert on April 23. Other Gigantour 2008 sellouts include May 10 at the Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; April 28 at the Pavilion De La Jeunesse in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada; and May 12 at the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The third installment of Gigantour the acclaimed traveling heavy music festival launched in 2005 by MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine will launch April 12 in Denver, CO with headliner MEGADETH, Swedish metal band IN FLAMES, Finland's CHILDREN OF BODOM, Arizona's modern extreme JOB FOR A COWBOY and Oakland, CA heavy power trio HIGH ON FIRE all confirmed. The 29-date trek will criss-cross North America and wrap May 22 in Phoenix, AZ.

Dave Mustaine will guest-host a special edition of "Chaos with Full Metal Jackie" this Sunday, March 30 from 10:00 p.m. until midnight PST on Indie 103.1 FM Los Angeles. The show will focus on Gigantour and will feature music from past and current Gigantour artists.
